Most councils in the UK are still operating under the 1982 legislation, which covers only Cosmetic Piercing, Electrolysis, Acupuncture, Tattooing, and Semi-permanent Make-up.
However, the new government standards, supported by the JCCP (Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners), will potentially include additional treatments such as Laser Treatments, Injectables, Dermaplaning, PRP, and Micro needling.
To ensure compliance with the new regulations, both current and future premises will need to be revisited and licensed.
It's worth noting that some councils have already incorporated Laser licensing into their existing licensing systems, operating under the 1991 Local Authority Act.
As a member of Beaugov, your business's license and credentials will be presented for promotion in your local area. We collaborate with councils throughout the UK, and we will notify your specific council to facilitate a fast and efficient process of obtaining your premises license, while also ensuring compliance with Ofqual regulations.
Please inform us of your council, and we will initiate contact with them regarding your premises.
